They coiled together in the most passionate cuddle they ever had in their life times. Exhausted, they rested in one another’s arms on the wet beach…….while millions of stars smiled and winked at them far from the dark heaven.
They rested in perfect harmony…they coiled in fulfilled conjugation.
And they slept the most peaceful sleep of their lives.
The sun having risen, the mist disappeared…….the first rays of the morning sun fell on the face of the vivacious youth.
He uplifted himself slowly on the sand…….still wet with the tidal waves of the vast ocean……and roamed his curious eyes for his girl…..
She was seen no where around……
The young man jumped up on his feet…..and shouted for the girl.
Only echoes he got in return.
He cried out loud….impatient…….he hastened to every possible hide out….every nook and corner he searched……but the girl seemed to be vanished in air……..evaporated!
The girl melted without leaving a trail behind.
The young man went almost mad…it was a task impossible for him to digest the blow that the girl has left him desolate…
He sat on the sand……..gazing at the aquamarine blue lying infinite before him……..and started waiting with expectant eyes for the girl to return back to him.
He awaited there for her to come back…….
Slowly seconds rolled to minutes…….
Minutes rolled to hours……..
Hours rolled to days……..
Days rolled to months……..
Months rolled to years……..
And
Years loaded him with the heavy burden of age.
He waited on the wet sand for the girl to return back……
For the girl to stand before his weak eyes……
Smiling………
Very close….so that could be touched by the tip of a finger……
Waited for her to come and enfold him…..
Draw him close to her bosom……soft…….sweet….and swelling….
His heart expecting…….he sat there for ever waiting.
His lonesome figure lost all its strength….his youthful glowing skin wrinkled…..his breathe turned heavier and heavier…….his beatings of heart gradually slower…….
One day the old man found to be sleeping again….on the wet shore….sleeping the most peaceful sleep of his deserted life….
Still no one came back…….to spray some flowers on his lonesome soul……..
Even to shed drop of tear one or two…….
'Eternal wait'...came out very well!
ReplyDeleteThis can't be purely Fictional...I suspect some long forgotten trauma behind the inspiration of this self attributed "Fiction"! Beautiful word pictures has certainly enriched the pensive mood of the narration...keep up the good work!
